ZZP Cold Air Intake w/Sock

Drivetrain

This article is not an install guide, it is just a gallery to show the routing and parts used. It can be confusing since there are no instructions, and there’s no information on which water-proof sock to use.

Even though the filter is inside the liner, it can still suck up water. A filter “sock” helps prevent any water from entering saving your engine and helping avoid drive ability problems in the rain.

Note: The filter sock is not 100% effective against lakes of water. You will still want to avoid big pools of water if you can

What you’ll need:

  • 3″ CAI
  • K&N Filter Sock

Step 1) Remove all of your old intake piping and box. SAVE YOUR MAF

Step 2) Remove the drive side wheel (vehicle supporter) and take off the fender liner on that side

Step 3) Install the MAF into the intake tube

Step 4) Install the CAI as routed in the video below

Step 5) Install the filter sock over the filter
